CSS und deviantARTHallo allerseits!
Mein Name ist Anne und ich wurde von Peter (aka *augenweide) gebeten, doch mal ein paar Worte zu CSS auf deviantART zu verlieren.
Seit 2007 stelle ich kostenlos Tutorials, sowie Journal und Gallery Skins zur Verfügung. Auf Wunsch fertige ich aber auch persönliche Skins an.
Ich bin Gründerin der Gruppe #eCSSited die mittlerweile wohl unter CSS-Begeisterten doch recht bekannt sein sollte und auch Anlaufstelle für alles rund um eben jenes Thema ist.
Da ich nicht weiß, inwieweit der eine oder andere schon Vorwissen hat und wo man demzufolge am besten anfängt werde ich einfach ein paar allgemeine Sachen erklären. Wer mehr wissen möchte, kann sich auch gerne an mich persönlich wenden – ich beiße auch nicht!
CSS steht für Cascading Style Sheets und ist heutzutage maßgeblich dafür verantwortlich wie euch die Dinge im Web präsentiert werden (Farben, Schriften, Bilder usw).

Making an Article about deviantARTI've been around here for a while on various accounts, and as such, I've seen an assload of journals or news articles about deviantART, their practices, their features, what's right or wrong, or whatever.
Unfortunately, I've noticed that many of them follow the same kind of thing, and unfortunately, none of these get any point across or get anything done. Here's pretty much what I've seen:
The Bitchy I Know Everything Article
In this kind of article, the deviant simply goes on about what's wrong and points out like EVERYTHING ever, right down to little comments here and there, and goes on about what deviantART should do like they own the place, or that they are the only one who uses the website. They'll probably use many punctuation, capitalization, and many, many HTML tags to emphasize their point, or to make themselves seem smart. When you write an article like this, you come off as a bitchy know-it-all, and I can totally guess that you're going to hide or argue any comments t

I love the smell of a new year! Yum! You gotta stop for a moment and smell the new year! It's starting to snow here, which is rare considering I'm in a very warm part of the planet, people in Canada must be already tired of the snow but not me! :D because I'm not a wizard.

The great Furry-Tree ornament contest - CLOSED

Hello members, watchers and visitors!

It is now time for a new contest! We want your art and we want your wishlist!

The Task

1. You must submit an artwork featuring a Holiday Furry-Tree ornament. This artwork must be animal/anthro/creature related. It can be a drawing of an standard ornament with animals painted on it (or animal-related theme like paw prints, featers, etc.) It can be a picture of a ornament you made. Even a picture of your Teddy Bear ornament will do. No background needed.

2. In the description of your deviation, you must write your deviantART wishlist or put a link to your actual wishlist.

Example of things you can put in your wishlist:

I'd like some dA points

I'd like a premium membership

I'd like an artwork featuring my OC (please add links to your OC ref-sheet and/or art)

I'd like a digital Chrismas Card

I'd like more watchers

I'd like a feature

Etc...

And yes, you can put more than one wish (and I encourage you to).

If we have enough entries, I will make a collage.

Rules

You don't need to be a member to enter. We accept visitors in our big furry house!

The art must be original and yours; no picture stolen from the web!

All references and resources must be credited! So yes, you can use resources.

All medium are accepted. A picture of an ornament you didn't make is ok if the picture is yours.

Keep it clean for general watchers - no blood, no gore, no sex, etc.

Background is not required.

You can submit more than one ornament.
