Description
Inspired by the now popular "The Biting Pear of Salamanca" which became the "LOL WUT" meme. It's an amazing artwork featuring the most awesome pear, a cute reckless chipmunk and a stunning fantasy decor.
I stumbled upon this the other day, and I remembered I used to digitally paint at some point (before I felt into the trap or ARPG). So I decided to make my own tribute of the popular pear. Although, I don't have ursulav's skills (yet). I do have a huge respect for those who can draw grass!
I thought drawing still life would be good practice, but just drawing a regular pear would be sooo boring! Better be a biting pear! And I was quite inspired by the description:
Now, the better way - in my opinion - to pay tribute to an artwork is to be inspired, not to copy. So this is not the same pear, but another member of the species... who may or may not have caught the same reckless chipmunk on another trip. Who knows?
And this is the reference I used:
(Thank you ManicHysteriaStock for this beautiful pear!)
I though it was better to use a picture to understand the pear instead of just being inspired by ursulav's work. It helped me use my own style instead of mocking someone's. But seriously, I'm jealous of her grass!
Now, my watchers know I can do something else than comic-style critters!
And here are some brushes I used for coloring the background.

A popular tourist attraction of the region, the biting pear lives off low-flying birds, hand-outs, and the occasional unwary sightseer.Leading me to... what if... (But I didn't want to play gore - not that I don't like it... )
